Measure the ceiling	Measure the floor	From the same spot, measure length and width of the room
Measure and calculate room volume: To calculate room height: Point the device at the ceiling and press READ. Holding the device at the same height, turn the device toward the floor and take another reading of the height to the floor. Add the two measurements to calculate the room height. Record measurements in your Field Notes. The device does not save measurements. This means that you will have to record each measurement by hand. Measure the room's width and length using the same method. Walls of windows will read as a solid wall.

measure to ceiling + measure to floor = height		measure to a width wall + measure of to the opposite wall = width
		measure of length wall + measure to its opposite wall = length
